India Reaches the Finals of Sultan Azlan Shah Cup
As for Korea, they have lifted the trophy only once, that too in 1996 and have lost in all other finals they qualified – 1999, 2000,2001 and 2005
Although the first half looked tensed and India was able to score just a single goal, the second half was completely different. India scored 6 goals in 30 minutes with a hat trick from Dhananjay Mahadik and other goals by Rajpal, Tushar and debutant Rupinder Pal Singh who scored his first International Goal

India Stuns Australia at the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup
By the end of 19th minutes India had taken a lead with in-form Tushar Khandekar scoring yet another goal in this tournament. Brought back in the attacking line up after he was used as an attacking mid-fielder all through the World Cup, Tushar is really showing his true colors.
Well, within a span of another few minutes India’s Dark Horse Rajpal Singh Scored another field goal and when Tushar Scored his second goal, well the Aussies were stunned.
Hell down under, the sweetness of revenge was right there in the face of Team India. Although there were certain glitches in the second half as Australia scored a couple Goal in quick succession but Shivender singh made sure in 61st minute that Team India is not losing this one. Final Score 4:3
India Takes on the World Champions today at the Azlan Shah Cup
The team who are known for its speed more then the skill and have defeated team India numerous of occasions just because of their pace.
Team India on the other hand would rely completely on their stick work and hockey skills. The major concern of improvement would be penalty corners as they gave away 11 against Korea. But as the Indian strikers are in good form and Shivendar, arjun, and tushar have goals under their belts, we can expect a thrilling encounter

India Beats Korea 3:2 in the 20th Sultan Azlan Shah Cup
Star of the show " Shivendar Singh" . This lad put his heart out in the 70 minutes he played. He scored 1 of the three and helped Tushar and hallapa scoring another. My man of the match.
With this win, the Indians have seven points from three matches, after their 1-1 draw against China and 4-2 win over Pakistan.
In the previous games, Indian Defenders had they heals hot and defended strategically, this match didn't had that punch as India gave away 11 penalty corners in all but Korea converted only two of them.
The advantage then was on India's hand they made the full use of it, by attacking down the wings both from left and right and counter attacking at the right moments.

India takes on korea today at Sultan Azlan Shah Cup
India's designated team manager and national coach Harendra Singh commented post India v/s Pakistan match
“Do not read much into the win over Pakistan for there are many areas we need to work on and improve upon.”
His targets were majorly the flaws India's striker are showing up front. India got there all 3 goals in the second half against Pakistan and one lone goal against china 17 seconds before the end of the match.
Good point being with India have been there defense and defensive mid field. So far India has conceded 3 goals in there 2 games and none of them were from a penalty corner. This has been satisfactory for Indian Coach as the ghost of penalty corner has always haunted Indian Hockey Team.
With youngster like Gurbaj singh hitting form at the right time and veteran such as arjun hallapa in his sublime form, we are sure that India is all set to turn tables against Korea

Rest Day Over. India Takes on the Asian Giants
With a fresh win at their back Team India seems to be confident to take Asian Giants South Korea in a thrilling encounter here at the 20th Sultan Azlan Shah Cup 2010. Korea is leading the point table with 4 points in their two games. India on the other hand has the same number of points but have a goal difference. South Korea had a draw against Malaysia before the rest day where as India on other hand is high on hopes as they trashed Pakistan comfortably.
The problem team India faced was with the strikers not scoring goals at the right time. Team India were always good in penetrating the defense and their stick work was well appreciated even in the recently conclude World Cup, but their strikers were not able to convert their chances.
With Shivendra singh now fully fit and having Tushar Khandekar play upfront, Indian team coach Brasa is hitting the right rhythm. So, let’s cross our fingers and hope that this dream run continues
